Dear Friends of PWSA of Wisconsin, Inc.,

My role as President of the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association of WI brings many joys with it, but one of the best is seeing the spirit

of giving in the generous people who help support PWSA of WI and our mission to support, educate, and advocate for persons with Prader-Willi syndrome (PWS), their families and professionals in meeting the challenges of this disability.

The reason for giving is unique to each, but in all, I see a sense of fulfillment that comes from knowing the gifts made will have a significant impact on the lives of the individuals touched by Prader-Willi syndrome. We need your support more than ever to ensure the people who need us can still access our services.

I’m asking for your support today! Your gift to PWSA of WI’s Caring is Sharing Annual Fund, regardless of size, is vital in continuing PWSA of WI’s programs and services.  YOU MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE!

When you make your tax-deductible donation to PWSA of WI:

  • You help us provide support and connections to the parents of newly diagnosed children with vital information and resources through our Packet of Hope, Facebook group, and social meet-ups.
  • You provide educational support to all those in need throughout WI. PWSA of WI provides educational and on-site IEP assistance and training, as well as many informational packets to those with a new diagnosis, educators, health providers, and law enforcement.
  • You give phone assistance – connecting our PWS community to a person who has a clear understanding of PWS and their needs.
  • You give PWSA of WI the opportunity to provide advocacy for persons with PWS by participating in residential, educational and other planning and team meetings.
  • You provide safe, supervised annual social events for the PWS community. Annual events, such as the Annual Ball and Family Fun Day give people with PWS the opportunity for much needed social opportunities.
  • You help sponsor yearly parent and professional workshops and training within Wisconsin on various topics, such as financial planning, education about law enforcement, and therapeutic interventions for Infant thru adulthood.
  • You give opportunity through assistance. Membership scholarships, workshop and conference scholarships, and general assistance funds are available to ensure everyone has an opportunity to get the invaluable resources needed to assist persons with PWS.
  • You give opportunities for children and adults to attend camp and invaluable respite for parents and caregivers. Every year, the Board of PWSA of WI, Inc. sets aside funds to assist children and adults with PWS so they can attend summer camp. These camping experiences provide a time of fun and adventure for the camper as well as a time of respite for parents and caregivers.

If you are a regular donor, I thank you for your continued support. If you have not given to PWSA of WI in a while, I’ll hope you consider giving again. We hope that you will be able to take part in one or more of the many exciting events that we are offering this year and experience firsthand the pride we take in supporting our mission.

If you would like more information on how you can further support PWSA of WI, please feel free to email us at ProgDir@pwsaofwi.org or contact the office at 920-733-3077. We are always eager to hear from you. Thank you in advance for your generosity!

Sincerely,

Crystal Boser, President
